CONTEMPORARY DANCE IS A MIXTURE OF DANCE GENRES, CLASSICAL BALLET, MODERN, LYRICAL & JAZZ STYLES. UNLIKE OTHER DANCE FORMS, IT ISN’T A RIGID CHOREOGRAPHIC STYLE AND IS OPEN TO MANY POSSIBILITIES OF CREATING NEW VARIATIONS AND MOVEMENTS, FULL OF SELF-EXPRESSION, AND FREEDOM. THE ROLE OF MUSIC IN CONTEMPORARY DANCE IS DIFFERENT FROM IN OTHER GENRES BECAUSE IT CAN SERVE AS A BACKDROP TO THE PIECE WITH ASY COMBINATIONS TO LEARN.
