I look at health holistically. It’s mind, body, and spirit. What you eat is an essential part of your health. As a trainer, food is something my clients ask me about all the time.
So here are my tips:
I don’t believe in cleanses; I don’t believe in crash diets. I believe in healthy habits and lifestyle choices so that I never feel like I’m missing out on anything. I believe that it’s not just what you eat, but how you eat it. Is an ice cream on the weekend with your friends ok? Of course! Eating a gallon of ice cream at midnight when you’re stressed on deadline is what is going to hurt you. There is a healthy way to enjoy every food—you don’t have to eliminate anything.
Food is such a blessing—You eat and you get energy. And it tastes good! What is better than that? You have to treat food with respect the way you would with anything else in life.
